Your bedroom deserves more.
YOU deserve more.
So many people use their bedrooms as storage, as hideaways.
“Oh, don’t go into the bedroom! It’s so messy.”
But your bedroom is kind of like a reflection of the inner you.
It’s where you go to dream. It’s where you go to unwind, to let go. To be unapologetically yourself, because you know nobody’s watching.
And as a creative especially, your bedroom should reflect yourself and what you dream of.
For you, that may just mean a whimsy gothic bedroom.
“But it’s just where you sleep, right?”
Sure, if you think about it that way.
But what if you thought about it as your creative lair? Your space where you can escape into your dreams? Where your creative juices can flow?
Your bedroom is where you start your day, setting up your artistic brilliance.
I remember back in 2022 when we moved from New Jersey to South Carolina.
For a good few weeks, our bedroom was strewn with boxes, packed up goods, and items everywhereeeee.
Sleeping in there, getting ready in the morning, and getting relaxed before bed was… a vibe. Not cute.
It felt messy, stressful, and definitely not in service to our creativity.
That’s why I focused a lot on making the bedroom moody, cozy, and ever-inspiring.
Because I know how important bedrooms are to revitalizing creativity each and every day.
I had never heard of whimsy goth until Pinterest told me it was a trending topic.
I’d say a lot of my interior design style is whimsical, while a lot of it has dark elements too— skulls, dead flowers, moons.
The whimsy goth aesthetic is a fusion of dark and dreamy, bringing a moody allure of gothic vibes together with the light, airy, innocence of whimsy.
Like a room decked out in deep and mysterious blacks and purples while adding some unexpected touches of whimsy like lace, intricate patterns, and vintage, romantic art and designs.
And for a bedroom? Your personal sanctuary, creative hideaway, and dreamy playground, dark enough to uncover your fantasies and whimsical enough to give you permission to live them out in the artistic expression of your choosing.

Because this isn’t just about making your life aesthetic— it’s combining your life and art into one.
I’ve always been one to believe that your career (aka, your passion) should be entangled in your life. I could never separate my music-making from my actual life— it’s all encompassed into one!
It should come as no surprise, then, to know that I’m a huge proponent of living on-brand, because it engulfs yourself in your dreams, your desires, your loves.
When I read Marie Kondo’s Spark Joy, it all connected the dots. Everything in your home should spark joy, because as a creative, everything in your home should serve you. It should remind you of the fearless, unapologetic you there is in this world.
It should speak to you every day, reminding you that you are enough.
