I could have easily started this blog post by talking about the many studies that show how colors drive mood.
But if you’re an artist, you’re the first person to know that this is true.
Dark, dismal blue and green color palettes can drive for a moody, blue disposition, while bright reds and yellows can insinuate a more peppy, upbeat energy. We know this.
This isn’t about the science; it’s about the joy.
If you’ve read some of our other posts, you’ll know that we’re strong advocates of Marie Kondo’s KonMarie method, in which you organize your home with one simple rule:
→ Get The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
→ Get Spark Joy by Marie Kondo
So, what does this have to do with cottagecore colors?
If you’re like me, then the entire cottagecore vibe sparks a ton of joy— whether I’m planning to design one of my rooms with these colors, have directions for a photo shoot or song cover, or, honestly, just look at them and appreciate how the colors dance together.
We’ve compiled a growing list of 19 cottagecore color palettes so your inspiration can have a little springboard. You can use these for:
☽ a room design
☽ photoshoot direction
☽ starting a music video storyboard
☽ designing your social media’s brand aesthetic
☽ redesigning a room
… and so much more!
